I grew up in the country, and my parents' house has a number of gardens around it. They tend to favor the "Tasha Tudor" style of gardens, with a lot of wildflowers and perennials. It must have rubbed off, since the garden in my yard is shaping up to be similar. After years of living in apartments with no gardening space, I finally have a small plot outside my porch, and it has become a bit of an obsession.
This summer, unfortunately, the garden hasn't seen as much tending as it should. That, and once the suflowers reached a certain height, the wind became the constant enemy. Ah well....there's always next year.
